Opray Winfrey is on her way to Cairns in December

Details were still being finalised but it is believed Oprah's talk show was likely to be filmed in Cairns during her stay in Australia. Oprah sent her 300 strong audience into a frenzy when she announced they would come with her on the trip to Australia with her crew. We will be thrilled to see her up here in Far North Queensland.

Visitors Love Palm Cove Far North Queensland

A survey reveals that visitors love Palm Cove so much so they keep coming back. Visitors to Palm Cove want a relaxing holiday and also intend to shop, dine, visit the reef and rainforest. Visitors are coming up from the south to get away from the cold weather. They liked the idea of being able to walk everywhere and dine at restaurants along the beachfront. Visitors can stay in Palm Cove and not need a car. The top reason for coming was rest and relaxation reflecting the "ulitimate tropical serenity" branding.

Amateurs Carnival Cairns 3 - 4th September

Cairns Amateurs Carnival has something to offer everyone. Fast becoming one of Australia's premier Spring Racing Carnivals. Enjoy Ladies Day 3rd September and Cup Day on Saturday 4th September. The beautiful weather in September entices locals and interstate visitors alike enjoying the racing and entertainment over the course of the event.
